Tyre Nichols’ case has been the talk of the town for a while now. The 29-year old black man had an encounter with the Memphis Police Department on the evening of Jan 7, 2023. Nichols was allegedly stopped by the Police for rash car driving. Later on the situation got heated up and led to violence in which Tyre Nichols was severely beaten by the Memphis Police and was admitted to hospital in critical condition. Three days later, he succumbed to his injuries.

Who was Tyre Nichols?
Tyre Nichols was a 29-year old black man having the passion of clicking sunsets and skateboarding. He worked for FedX and had a four year old son. Nichols loved his family and being in corporate he was crucial part of Memphis. He had his mother’s name tattooed on his arms. On Jan 7, 2023, Tyre Nichols was returning from his office to his mother’s home for his evening meal when he was severely beaten up by the Memphis Police. His family lawyer said that Nichols was just 100 yards away from his mother’s place when this incident happened.
Nichols kept screaming “Mom, Mom, Mom…” while he was being beaten up by the Police officers. Tyre Nichols beating video has gone viral on the internet and people got outraged after seeing the cam footage. People across the country have been saddened by this incident and started protests against the Memphis Police Department and are asking for the justice for Tyre Nichols.
